Our Story
from Bags of Hope, to a brighter future
Hello everyone! My name is Julia, and I am the founder of Bags of Hope. I'm pictured on the left in-between my mom and cousin!

Growing up, I heard many stories from my parents about the hardships many have faced while growing up in poverty in the Philippines. It was a common occurrence for peers and people around them to worry about having enough to eat or having the proper supplies for school.
​
Inspired by my parents' stories and determination to succeed, I started Bags of Hope when I was 16 years old. I wanted to give back to the community where my parents grew up and help provide the same opportunities and resources that I was fortunate enough to have. Through Bags of Hope, we aim to empower and uplift individuals and families in need, and provide them with the support and resources they need to succeed and thrive.

Since our founding, we have provided essential resources such as backpacks full of school supplies and meals to families and students in need. We are committed to continuing our work and expanding our impact in the future, and we hope you will join us in making a difference in the lives of those facing challenges and difficult circumstances.
